Annual Meeting

February 14, 2017


The FORNL annual meeting was called to order at 11:50 a.m. by Vice President, Kent Williams (acting for Jim Rushton), at the UT Resource Center in Oak Ridge, Tennessee (following several preliminary welcoming announcements).


Vice President Williams announced that this meeting was called to elect FORNL board members.


The Nominating Committee comprised of Chuck Coutant (chair and board member), and Connor Matthews (board member), recommended the following slate of nominees for the 2017 Board:


Vice President Williams thanked the committee for their work and he noted that FORNL members received the announcement of this slate and a short biography of each candidate more than 30 days ago (a by-law requirement).


Board Officers nominated for 2017 (to be considered by the board on March 14, 2017) were:


Vice President Williams called for additional board nominees from the floor (a by-laws requirement).

No additional nominees were proposed by the membership.


FORNL members from the floor moved, and seconded that the nominations be closed.  The motion passed.


The proposed board nominees were elected unanimously.


Vice President Williams thanked the officers and all board members for their service this past year.


No additional business for the annual meeting was proposed from the floor.


The meeting was adjourned at 11:56 a.m., and a presentation of the monthly luncheon lecture followed.
